After a first successful implementation in November/December 2014, a second course is scheduled for the second half of 2015 aiming at practitioners from Ghana and Kenya.
The programme will provide practice-oriented orientation for strategic decision-making on how to introduce resource recovery and recycling of relevant waste fractions into municipal waste management. Having participated in the programme, participants will be in the position to differentiate between substances having a positive value on the market and those causing expenses for proper treatment and elimination. They will be acquainted with prerequisites for high quality secondary raw materials and recycling options considering as far as possible local competences and facilities and, where necessary and useful, opportunities for international cooperation.
